The America homeless population reached 578,424 in 2014, according to National Alliance to End Homelessness.  401,501 homeless in America find shelter every night.

Over 362,000 are individuals.  23% of these individuals have a disability condition and have been homeless for more than a year.  14% of these individuals are war veterans.

Homeless families account for almost 12% of the homeless population.  22% of these families have a person with disability or have been homeless for more than a year.
