Abdul Jawad is a ‘roti’ maker (baker) residing in Dubai for over seven years.  He works two shifts, starting from 4 am till 3 pm  and again 5 pm to 9 pm.  Abdul utilizes 25 KGs of flour to manufacture around 1,000 thames (rotis) at a cost of just 50 fils each.

During the two hours spent preparing the dough he engages in religious reciting and prayers.  Abdul’s environment is friendly, at the end of the day colleagues and friends gathers to have fun drinking tea and eating his owned roti with cheese.

This job pays 1,500 Dhs per month, provides accommodation, vacation every two years and a round trip ticket  to visit his beloved family with four kids in Iran. Abdul’s goal is to educate his children.
