Oceanic Art is written in English, German, and French. There are 100’s of color photographs of art. Also, detailed information (maps included) discussing the different regions. Further, a special treat as stated on the front inside fold-over cover : “Most of the works of art illustrated in this volume are stored deep in the reserves of museums or held in private collections not accessible to the public.”
Each art piece is individually numbered, including a color photograph and a description. Many of the art descriptions have meticulous information on how the item is used, as well as history, and collection information. I collect masks from around the world.
