Americans are socially lost in a web of identification. Often people are labeled and consequently split into groups, while points of view are categorized as pro or against. One must tiptoe around political correctness and social acceptance to make a point. Titles such as brown people, black people, white privilege, differently-abled and queer to name a few, naturally find their way into our daily communication.

As occupants of this land, we must accept that the undesirables (whoever they may be) will not disappear with a wave of wand.

The open and speedy movement of information has brought life to light in ways we never experienced before. But everything we see a need to stamp today already existed and none of this is new.

we have created nothing but struggle and hate by cataloging ourselves and our way of life into items others can integrate in to their agenda.

The answer for this pandemonium that we live in is simple and free. Entertain others’ reasoning, find the hidden communality, and work from there.

Durable social changes come with tolerance, otherwise in four years we must do it all over again. Tolerance is achieved in the cell level, with the person living next door, with the co-worker at the next desk, and with family and friends.

Neutrality comes with the price of being disconnected. Society is composed of like-minded people; teal lovers search for bluish-green connections, and the burnt sienna worshippers choose to navigate a path that’s deep reddish brown. Embracing the color wheel will yield richer exposure and isolation.
There is no glory in neutrality.
