Experiences in life inspire emotional responses in my photography. In life we all undergo cycles of encounters, events, and emotions. Some are more forceful than others. I am looking for a shared understanding or empathy of the wisdom and knowledge we gain as each cycle subsides.
I have always been drawn to expressing myself through an artistic medium, whether it is with drawing, printmaking or photography. While photography has become, for me, the most fitting and expressive medium because of its unique ability to so clearly mimic reality, capture an expression or a moment (spontaneous or created) as well as the possibility of establishing a narrative.
My struggle to find my true purpose and search for contentment is the objective. I am looking for insight on what I will eventually become and in a way I am seeking resolutions to unanswerable questions in my photographs.
