When you constantly walk between the same streets, you realize how many people they are, who for most go unnoticed as ghosts in the city. In general, they are people who fulfill one of the most important functions for everyone, such as cleaning the city.
In this series I focus on a single person who stands out from the crowd, using a long daytime exposure, this allows the protagonist to stand out amid blurry shadows dissolving into the air. For me the photographs are watercolors, discovering that I have hearing problems inspired me to alter reality, turn it into an artistically blurred vision and develop my style.
In each image I represent my listening problem “How do I listen to the city” talking to someone on the street is very difficult and I have to focus on one voice, I interpret this in the photograph as the person in focus, the rest of the sounds contaminate the conversation and depict them with intentional camera movement and blur.
