Small backyard greenhouse 1973.

Commercial greenhouse 1976.
The plants could be moved in and out of the main greenhouse in order to harden them off before planting in the spring.

Insulated solar heated greenhouse 1974.

An insulated steel culvert was buried under the mound of earth. Plants stored on a movable platform were rolled in and out of the culvert from day to night in order to keep the plants warm during the winter without the use of alternative heating.

A series of early built greenhouses and other places in which to grow plants that I designed and built mostly in the 1970s and 1980s.

The main focus of this effort was to explore ways in which to grow plants during the winter in Southern Illinois with less heating energy then conventional greenhouses.

Modular prefabricated greenhouse 1974.

Insulated solar heated greenhouse 1980.

The Bio-filter that purifies indoor air by pulling the air over the leaves of the plant.

Plants and thermal mass mounted onto an insulated door rotate automatically and/or manually to the inside of the house at night to keep the plants warm, and to help heat the house with the solar heated thermal mass.
