For me, photographing the streets is a process of actively observing without being noticed, it is almost like being a silent shadow; in a way, you put your identity in your pocket and become a channeler of emotions of strangers to whoever is interested in your work. Thanks to this voyeuristic approach I have been privileged to catch tiny little moments: a gesture or glimpse that exposes loneliness, hope, affection, joy or confusion, among other sentiments that people often try to hide from the public. For almost two years, I have been hunting for these moments in the streets of various European cities, including Barcelona, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Lisbon, Malmö, Prague, Skopje and Warsaw, among others. These moments, I believe, are the essence of photography, one of a few mediums that are truly able to capture the highs and lows of the human condition.
