This collection documents the tragic beauty of nature in trouble. Its mission is to provoke the observer to see past its beauty and explore the causes and consequences, reconnecting with nature and working toward a solution.
As a human, I enjoy the wonders of discovery and constant advancement that define us as a species, but I am also sad that we overlook the wonders so closely.
The desire to overcome this condition pushed me in my own exploration, and I am happy to go further on that path day after day.
Created using ambient light, flash, and occasionally ND filters. Colour graded in Lightroom. FujiX100V.
ARTIST STATEMENT Flowers are an essential trait of our culture and history, an iconic symbol of femininity and strength, and vital for our planet’s health. My photography of flowers and plants goes beyond their beauty and decorative value. My work aims to capture and share the often-overlooked beauty of the natural world, driven by my concern for humanity’s diminishing connection with nature. I strive to highlight ‘nature’s flaws’ in my art by using a flashlight and special effects to reveal the intricate microcosms of nature. I typically work during the magic hours, seeking unique angles, various natural light intensities, and wind-driven motions.
