Urban life is a vibrant collection of spontaneous moments. These moments weave together to create the poetry of the streets. Each photograph is a fleeting glimpse into the beauty of the ordinary and the unexpected. I aim to preserve raw, unposed narratives, telling stories that might go unnoticed in our fast-paced world.

I focus on capturing the unnoticed—the everyday moments we often overlook. I’m drawn to the subtleties of urban life that may seem mundane but hold deeper meaning when observed closely. People appear in my images, but they’re not the main focus. They are part of a larger scene, contributing to the complex and dynamic urban story.

I do not attempt to make bold statements. My approach is simple and unobtrusive, using only my smartphone to blend into the background and let life unfold naturally around me. This spontaneity gives my work authenticity, capturing genuine interactions and fleeting moments that reflect the essence of the urban experience.

My goal is to encourage viewers to pause, notice, and reflect. I hope my photographs inspire curiosity about the everyday and prompt a deeper appreciation for the world we inhabit and each other.

I’m a UK-based photographer, artist, speaker, and workshop leader, with a deep passion for iPhone photography. Born and raised in Manchester, I now live in North Wales. Since 2012, I’ve exclusively used an iPhone for my photography, moving away from DSLR equipment and lenses. With nearly fifty years of experience in the creative world, I have knowledge of almost every facet of the publishing industry and I hold an ARPS distinction from the Royal Photographic Society. Having retired from the daily pressures of client-driven work, I now focus on exploring smartphone photography, leading workshops, and speaking to photo clubs, art groups, and businesses, all with the goal of showcasing the potential of smartphone photography.
