Christian Reister has been photographing the Berlin night in high-contrast black and white for 15 years. Many pictures show blurring and coarse grain. Instead of precise depiction, Reister's photography is always primarily about atmosphere and emotion. Several photo books have been produced since 2016, both self-published ones (Alle Katzen Grau, Nacht und Nebel, Berlin After Dark) and the London publisher's publication “Berlin Nights” (Hoxton Mini Press).
