Mission Statement
The street photography collective THROUGH THE LANDS was created with the ambition of forging links between photographers who share the same passion. Its members have in common this desire to capture everyday life and to convey the atmosphere, customs and idiosyncrasies of the places they visit. Through their own language, each member draws a very personal portrait of different countries around the world.

The best that I can do as a conscious human being is to explore the time and place that I live in and express my profound experience of my explorations through my images. I am therefore trying to create various projects on various relevant social themes through my images.
I live in New Delhi, am an Engineer by education, a part of the top management of an American I.T Services company by profession and a learning photo-artist by passion. Having been bored to death by corporate nothingness in various parts of the world for nearly 25 years, I took to the streets every weekend with my camera around 8 years back in search of a better meaning.
For the first 6 years of my journey, I followed the trends of street photography. Later, I started feeling that telling stories based on the expressions of my mental explorations into various facets of life is more important than one-off smart street photos. I have been trying my hand since then on projects on socio-economic themes that interact with me.
During the last 7 odd years, some of my work got exhibited in many international exhibitions (in places like New York, Dubai, London, Dublin, Livorno-Italy, New Delhi etc.) and printed in international/ national printed as well as on-line magazines.
