O, to be touched
by lips from which
drip phrase of truth,
with passion
and catch fire,
engulfed,
all poison
distilled
and courage,
the recite
of self,
gallant
with sovereign’s fall.
O, inverse and prolonged
journey
to end’s beginning,
as cavalcade blurs
past into tomorrow,
in mystical state
a flow of portent
of Aurora,
a reformation,
a faith resolved.
