Feeding The Birds In Paris – A Homeless Man’s Story

This is Giuseppe. He is a 54 year old homeless man living in Paris.

This documentary photography project was submitted to Edge of Humanity Magazine by documentary photographer Oliver Baer.

He walks the same route in Paris everyday, with his broken back.
The hundreds of pigeons are his family.
Giuseppe in the middle of his family. He sleeps on the streets of Paris. The love from his birds is his entire life.
Giuseppe takes care of every single pigeon.
Although feeding birds is not allowed in Paris, when Giuseppe earns some money he buys pigeon food. He spends no money on himself.
More pigeons coming, with every minute. Giuseppe at the Place Pompidou.
This is like watching a movie where Giuseppe is the father of the Birds.
After his daily routine, Giuseppe looks into the future…
