When the art is left free to invade a huge space, its possibilities are almost endless. With a 15,000 sqm surface, Pirelli HangarBicocca represent a Mecca in the Italian contemporary-art scenario, a privileged stage for voluminous installations creating all-round experiences. This selection of shots represents an intimate perception of the present exhibitions: the new paradigms of Architecture as Art (V.A.), the kaleidoscopic Carsten Höller’s Doubt, and the mystic Anselm Kiefer’s The Seven Heavenly Palaces.

None of the exhibit is represented in full, or portrayed as it merely looks like: the journey involves all the five senses, stimulating mind-blowing perceptions. The atmosphere is misty, pushing the visitor in a dreamlike state of mind and inviting to explore, experience, sense.
