First thing in the morning & my head is a shed
My phone is buzzing, I roll out of bed
In no mood for taking a call
In my mind I hurl my phone against the wall.
The buzzing ends, traffic hums outside
Endless vehicles passing by where I reside
The shrieking of an ambulance cuts the air
Illness or injury & emergency care.
Ensconced in my room, I bless myself twice
Safe as a house where the living is nice!
