City Of Shadows
A Night Wanderer’s Tale

Awakened by the pungent stench of the garbage truck lingering outside my window, I decided to rise and venture into the night.

The lights from the buildings cast vivid reflections on the freshly washed streets. People pass by—some in cars, others on bicycles, and a few on foot. At this hour, some hurry to their destinations, while others linger, waiting for the sun to guide them home.

As I wandered through the city’s dark alleys, losing and rediscovering myself, I noticed a pattern: clusters of locals gathered in open establishments catering to night walkers. Silently, patrons came and went. After hours of aimless exploration, I stopped for a bite, a drink, and a few cigarettes.

Even as the city rests from the heavy weight it bears during the day, life presses on, piercing the boundaries of darkness and light. The city eagerly provides for the scattered souls roaming its streets under the cover of night.

At this hour, street photography becomes raw and edgy, where dim glimmers of light shroud scenes in mystery.
