Presence in Transit is an ongoing street photography project developed across cities including New York City, Seoul, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Paris and Bangkok.
Through neon lights, reflections and saturated night colors, the project explores the emotional atmosphere of contemporary cities after dark. Human figures and urban spaces blend into luminous scenes where red, blue and electric tones transform ordinary streets into cinematic landscapes suspended between movement and silence.
The series focuses on the relationship between people, architecture and artificial light, capturing fleeting moments hidden inside the constant rhythm of the city. Each image becomes a fragment of transit — intimate, anonymous and deeply connected to the visual energy of urban nightlife.
I am Paola Panebianco an amateur photographer and female solo traveler interested in documenting authentic urban atmospheres and cultural contrasts. My work explores how light, architecture and human presence interact, searching for emotion and beauty within the chaos of contemporary cities.
