Web Of Ideas

Written by Brenda Mox

Full of long words but no girlish charms,

she was no less a keen observer.

Eager to embrace each moment

for she believed that by paying attention

she could make a miracle from the truth

that glimmers just below the surface

and explodes in and out

of her consciousness in fragments.

Truths bathed in honey light,

dispersed like dust from old, treasured books.

Though her web of ideas take a time to penetrate

the flaccid channels of most ears,

and often drop like stones

into the fragile silence of precious things,

she’d found that words are bound to explode

like mystically powered energy

by commitment of pen to page.
