“COMMON MATTER: Furrows of Man, Furrows of Earth” In this work, the marks of time on human faces engage in a dialogue with the geological layers of the earth, revealing the common matter that unites us. Through the diptych format, human anatomy is transformed into interior geography, suggesting that every individual carries within them the vastness of the world. The project celebrates the universal dignity of both nature and humanity as they endure through time, transforming physical detail into an ancestral echo of belonging to the earth.

The Wisdom of Time

Time becomes flesh: deep wrinkles like furrows of an ancient wisdom rooted in the earth.
Time becomes rock: geological layers mirroring the signs of human life.

The Continuity

The generative strength: women and children as deep roots that guard life and hope, nourishing the future even in the harshest lands.
The strength of the cactus: life protecting its essence and blooming among the rocks, a mirror of nature’s maternal capacity to endure and provide.

The Silence

A figure on the threshold: the thin border between the spirit’s intimacy and the immensity of the world.
The solemnity of the mountain: stone walls guarding the ancestral silence of an unmoving nature.

The Flow

The beginning of the journey: in the bond between mother and child, the first furrow of existence is created—a promise of life flowing through generations.
The earth’s surface revealed: clay veins that, like umbilical cords, guide the gaze toward the horizon and the origin of everything.

The Essence

Ancient Gaze. The closing of the circle: the wisdom of a journey transformed into collective memory.
Where the Earth Breathes. The origin of everything: primordial landscapes where the earth’s breath merges with the spirit.
