My Canadian Prairie series aims to capture the essence of a culture deeply connected to their rural lands. The silos, old barns and abandoned structures tie a resilient community to its agriculture roots. They’re reminders of their heritage and human existence in today’s evolving landscape.

Rachel Wei is a fine art photographer currently based in Vancouver, Canada. Rachel graduated with a fine arts degree; she spent countless hours in the darkroom during the '90s. After a decade away, she made the transition to digital photography and re-ignited her passion. Rachel has an affinity for black and white photography and draws inspiration from the scenes that spur emotions. She hopes her visual exploration will resonate with her audience.

I love these photos. AI, eat your non-existent heart out!
Moving review (or is it revue?) of prairie life in Canada. The work informs and conveys beauty as well in shade and texture. Black-and-white is the right choice!
