SOUL POETRY is the debut poetry book of the author, Anita Bacha. Gifted with the pen, she started to write poetry at the age of eleven when she fell in love with her school teacher, a married woman of 33.

Later in life she contracted a love marriage and settled down happily till she found out that conjugal life was not a bed of roses. She picked up her quill once more to pour out her heart in SOUL POETRY.

SOUL POETRY is the story of a woman in poetic style where different types of relationships are defined and analyzed with deep sensibility and creativity.

Anita Bacha is Mauritian by birth, a national British by choice. She studied law at Lincoln’s Inn in London, England. She returned to her birth country to practice at The Bar a few years later. She had a successful career in the Judiciary and also in the Executive which she joined afterwards.

Bacha has written Acts of Parliament and is a signatory of the Hague Convention 1993 on Protection of Children in Intercountry Adoption.

Passionate about writing, she has published three children’s books, two spiritual novels and four books of poetry.
