Stripping ourselves of our guarded physical space, we set out to meet people we do not know for a common reason that we all care about.
Whether people are gathering for a religious celebration, traditional festival, political protest, or social event, the energy is high. With a sense of community and purpose, and gently shoved left and right, we share the pavement. People from different backgrounds and neighborhoods come together with one collective goal in mind. Very often, we take for granted our freedom to assemble, as some societies today still do not have the right to gather freely for a cause or voice their opinions without fearing the 6 AM knock on the door—and then never being seen again.
Street photography captures the sweat, the anger, and the joy as it documents the disappearing physical social interaction among the city’s masses.
Edge of Humanity Magazine is an independent nondiscriminatory platform that has no religious, political, financial, or social affiliations.
