I have traveled 9000 miles in the US, from East to West and North to South. Through 21 States. I have always dreamt of investigating this continent - the landscapes, the people and the culture. Watching the difference in culture across the USA and to understand the difference to my own country. Trying to imagine how people, mainly from Europe, just 150-200 years ago traveled into unknown territory, searching for a new life. Bio: Jens Jakobsson is an award winning Danish fine art photographer with passion for nature, wildlife and travel. In 2022 and 2023 he was the overall winner of the Danish Championship in Photography, a competition based on 24 photos in 6 different categories, and with an international jury of 9 judges. The competition is among members of the Danish Society of Photography. In 2023 and again in 2024 he received the award ”Wildlife Photographer of the year in Denmark”, awarded by the Society of Nature Photographers in Denmark – Judging was based on 33 photos in 11 different categories. Jens Jakobsson has exhibited in Agora Gallery in New York and at several locations in Denmark. His ambition is to create work that expresses the beauty of nature and the beauty of our planet, both landscapes, animals and people.
