Artist statement: "I chase light. Through my lens, everyday scenes transform into high-contrast narratives of geometry, shadow, and form. I’m naturally drawn to moments shaped by strong lines, striking contrasts, geometry and composition. These elements don’t just inform my images—they are the images. Light and shadow are my medium. They sculpt spaces, define shapes, and reveal silhouettes. Geometry emerges from the ordinary: archways carve pathways of light, patterned floors echo human movement, and solitary figures become symbols in negative space. Each frame is a balance between what’s seen and what’s hidden—an exploration of presence and absence. By stripping away colour, I distill a scene to its essence. The emptiness becomes as powerful as the subject, the quiet as expressive as the gesture. Simplicity opens a space for deeper contemplation—and perhaps, a connection to a fleeting moment captured in black and white. In this way, my photography becomes more than documentation—it becomes an immersive meditation on light, structure, and the subtle poetry hiding in plain sight.”
