(The title is in Spanish. I’ve chosen it for its specific conceptual meaning from the Real Academia Española (RAE): “m. Desvío, apartamiento del camino o de la regla,” which translates to “a deviation or departure from the path or the rule.” For me, this work represents a deliberate “departure” from reality.)

This photographic series is a visual exploration of contemporary architecture, where I seek to transform structures into emotional landscapes. Through minimalist compositions and a restrained color palette, I elevate everyday buildings to an almost monumental status. Each image attempts to evoke a sense of grandeur and serene solitude, representing my search for order and beauty amid geometric abstraction.
This collection stands out for the fusion I create between real locations and purely digital creation. Several key pieces originate from the architecture of where I reside: my images Extravíos 1/10, Extravíos 4/10, and Extravíos 5/10 are manipulations based on the lines of a public building, while Extravíos 8/10 is inspired by another local institution. In the series, I also decontextualize specific details, such as a window in Ibiza (Extravíos 3/10), the facade of a sports center (Extravíos 7/10), or a private home (Extravíos 2/10). Finally, works like Extravíos 6/10, Extravíos 9/10, and Extravíos 10/10 are free creations made with Photoshop, completing a series in which I move fluidly between the real and the imagined.

Bio/Artist's Statement With a degree in History and a documentalist by profession. In 2018, the stillness imposed by a motorcycle accident led me to discover photography. As a self-taught photographer, I am incorporating characteristics of my personality into my style, intensified in large part by my professional background: order, precision, and schematicism. The result of my photographic process are clean and orderly compositions, approached from a minimalist aesthetic.
