Mike is a self-taught photographer based in Edinburgh, known for striking black-and-white work that leans into bold contrasts and clean, expressive compositions. Working with a visual impairment, he brings a heightened sensitivity to shape, shadow, and texture, using limitation as a creative lens rather than an obstacle. His images often explore the city’s edges and overlooked details, revealing patterns and atmospheres that thrive in monochrome. Through a minimalist, observant approach, he crafts photographs that feel both intimate and sharply distilled.”
