Written by Wilma Fellman

Out at buildings

I see gray

Spreads boundless fog

Chokes my way

Droplets freeze

Time stands still

I see gray

I always will

We have dreams

That won’t come true

Gray replaces

Red or blue

Pain’s a shadow

That won’t shake

Gray’s a nightmare

That won’t wake

Gray’s been with me

From the start

Under cover

But real smart

Gray pretends

To be away

Never does it go

To stay

Gray is greedy

Takes it all

Brightness struggles

Easy call

We delude ourselves

To plan

Gray controls

The strongest man
