Artist Statement: "In my personal work my main interest is in Landscape photography. More specifically, the capturing of the effects of light and weather on the landscape, and the exciting and often stirring way it can transform a relatively mundane subject into something strikingly beautiful. I prefer to photograph these little 'decisive moments' of nature in small, perhaps not traditionally attractive or popular areas, that relatively few people may see or appreciate the potential of. I like to give these little landscapes their moment of glory, so to speak! I still get so excited when I see light transforming scenes in front of me and almost scared to miss the opportunity to capture it, as it is most likely a one-off opportunity and I am responsible for 'freezing' it in time and hopefully sharing it with others."
