S.E. Deveney presents a collection of paintings at NO MIDDLEMAN ART GALLERY. Fascinated by nature and drawn to moments that feel slightly out of balance, Deveney sees abstract art as the most direct way to visually express these observations.
His artistic journey began under the guidance of an art teacher in the York City Schools, which encouraged early experimentation with sketching, drawing, and coloring. This foundation eventually led to abstract painting, where Deveney found a fitting outlet for personal expression. Further development came through instruction with painter Ed Ramsburg at the Delaplaine Art Center in Frederick, Maryland, where techniques and approaches to abstraction were expanded.
Through this exhibition, Deveney shares an exploration of form, perspective, and the subtleties of perception, rooted in both personal study and guided mentorship.
