Education Resource Center, Sai Baba Nagar, Vadodara, Gujarat, India: A young girl is learning to write letters in Gujarati at the ERC. These ERC’s duplicate as schools as there are no proper schools in the area. These ERC’s are either tiny rooms or open spaces in the slum clusters. Bhagyanagar Childrens home for Boys, Koppal District, Karnataka, India: Childrens home in Bhagyanagar for boys houses children mostly between 6 – 14 years who are either abandoned or orphaned. Mostly children of migrant laborers and are risked being potential child labor. Few of them are orphaned due to AIDS contracted by their parents. These children are given proper education, hygiene, nutrition, protection and care at the center. Anganwadi Center, Naraspur, Medak District, Telangana, India: Anganwadi, which means courtyard shelter are centers for learning and combatting malnutrition among children. Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya ( residential school for girls), Shamshaba, Hyderabad, Telangana, India: KGBV is a residential school for girls who at some point dropped out of school. This is an effort to bring them back to mainstream schooling so that they can complete their education. They are brought to the school campus where they live and learn.
