I have been photographing people living through one-sided love stories, in locations strongly connected to their relationships, while they reflect on the person towards whom they have feelings. The images, produced in cities across Europe, affirm this idea of a universal underlying human nature, reflected in the near-universality of the experience of unrequited attraction.
