Will The Successful Life Lessons Learned & Used By Past Generations Be Of Any Use For Today’s Youth

Working for retirement; many people did, others are still trying. Some retirees clipped by the financial crisis are forced back into the workforce. The youngsters are starting at a time of global financial crisis, pandemic, melting glaciers, and leaders drunk on power provided by artificial intelligence; but this last part they have not yet recognized.

When my husband and I traveled, the elderly people in our lives thought that was a bit irresponsible, “that’s what you do when your retired”. The elderly we met during our travels praised our decisions “good, do it while you are young”, and I’m glad we did.

The uncertainty we all find as we waltzed thru life, put in question all the actions generations and generations took in the past to assure pleasant lives.

The dream of a house where one can raise their family is being taking away by natural disasters all over the world; house ownership will become prohibitive as insurance will grow unaffordable.

Entire industries, let alone jobs and careers are being eliminated as robots march on.

Environmental changes, decimation of wealth, and pandemics, will ravage the human landscape tirelessly.

Life was easy then.
