It was only at the age of 19 that I took up photography, 50 years ago. At first, I tried to copy the masters of photography by trying their techniques and their supports, then, quickly, I practiced photomontage. Then it was in my lab that I continued this practice. Nothing remains of this work, a fire destroyed all my prints and negatives, as well as my cameras and enlarger. I will have to wait 20 years to find a taste for the image again, thanks to computers. My work now consists, as you will see, of creating paintings inspired by music, novels, sculptures and objects.
Certainly, it happens, again and again, to make clichés; but it is always with the same goal: the photo or the painting must tell a story without commentary.
The works presented are inspired by images or objects and built around them.
