Out of the howling hurricane
and frozen darkness, she came
spreading her snowy robes
in queenly amplitude.
A muster of northern lights
reared their dim lances
like icebergs piercing
a polar winter sky
as she drew close her curtains
of densely mottled clouds.
A Christmas frost gleamed lustrous
as white December whirled over June’s
ripe ice glazed cherries
and crushed briar rose drifts.
Snowy robes of queenly amplitude.
