He kept dreaming, the door untried.
TRAIL WAY
Trees crowded. Then geese winged through.
DISCOVERY
She stretched, curious. The glass broke.
INSIDES
He held firm, bones showing finally.
LUXURY
She walked on diamonds, feet bleeding.
NECESSITY
His eyes opened, the path lost.
AFTERNOON PAUSE
Birds settled. Shade deepened. Silence gathered.
