Written by Brenda Mox
Ere you vanish as I inhale
your fragrance.
Come soft flight
and nestle my heart
with lamblike submission
and turtledove sensibility,
while twilight, that hour of romance
lowers her blue and starry banner
over waves of mountains
far beyond deep valleys.
Though something of daylight
still lingered, the moon waxed brightly
and you glowed shouting
I HAVE NO RELATIVE
BUT THE UNIVERSAL MOTHER NATURE
I will seek her breast
and ask repose.
