Written by Brenda Mox
The succubus of his fevered dreams
swayed before him
like a bough in the breeze.
A creature wrought of divine darkness,
with sullen mouth of purple lips,
one of Lucifer’s brood
come to disturb his nightly rest.
Agate eyes that flame with fire
and a voice that slithered
serpent like
across the floor
as she slipped in and out
like a wraith
through closed doors.
Like a Titan in the pit of hell
at its bone strewn center,
he felt as hopeless as Sisyphus
as he succumbed
to his lusts and fears
for he found her
phantom flesh to be
veins of fire in satin seas.
Her golden curls
and puckered lips
devour like a bacchante.
With feral movements
of her hips,
she peered into
his Satyr’s lair
only to find no one there.
