Written by Sara Grimes

It wasn’t that her cheeks were rosier

Or that she was a buxom blonde

It wasn’t that her eyes sparkled

Or that she was easy to talk to

It wasn’t even that she asked to be pet

Or that her clothes were as soft as her skin

Or that she asked after his astrology

Rendering her cute and girly

It wasn’t even that she was ten years younger

No it wasn’t any of these things

See, I was her equal in every way

No, it was the fact that she was newer

And he expected he knew all my tricks,

After a week.
