During my time in Istanbul, I explored the city’s streets with a camera and open curiosity. From the winding alleys of the old town to the vibrant markets and waterfronts, I wandered with no fixed direction, allowing the rhythm of daily life to guide me. I engaged with locals, shared brief conversations, and observed the subtle moments that often go unnoticed. This series captures the essence of those encounters, the contrast between stillness and movement, tradition and modernity. It’s a visual reflection of a city rich in character, and the people who were so sharing with their rich history and sometimes even their tea. I documented the life of Istanbul that I would just stumble across.
I am Dan Morris a street and wedding photographer based in the UK. I have a passion for capturing the unscripted moments that life throws towards me and my camera.
