cinderborne morning-
ash flaking down as the sun rises
it’s normal, we’re meant to say
it’s normal, we’re supposed to insist
it’s normal and it’s a dry fucking heat and don’t question it
it’s always been like this
always
Always. Been. Like. This.
will always be like this foreverever
the Karri feeds on ash
and so fire snows down
drifting
like an abandoned kiss
