Hate speech is subjective and in the eye of the beholder, which is why it is protected under the First Admendment of the U.S. Constitution.
Throughout the centuries and even in some countries today as well as here in America, daring to criticize the government and holding other groups accountable for the bad things they do is considered hate speech.
Just as the both the Democrats and Republicans and their supporters on the Left and Right, only support free speech rights when they are in power, then seek to suppress free speech they do not like just as soon as they get back into office.
Without free speech everyone’s life hangs on a thread that can be severed by a single accusation.
