It’s surreal at first glance, but quickly you get accustomed to the pottery scattered around the grounds of this ancient town of Bhaktapur-Nepal.

The pottery is in an upright position standing proud for the observer’s attention while drying in the City Square. You can watch the creation of such beauty as you walk the area. Thousands of pieces are on location for the visitor to appreciate.

The craftsmen use their entire body during the fabricating process that appears to turn the raw materials as well as their tools into two more limbs. The artisans move as if they are performing a ritualistic dance. The artistic manufacturing process is primitive and highly labor intensive yet a personalized creation of love.
