If travel has taught me anything, it is to respect things from other lands and habits from people that I don’t particular like or understand.
Keeping culture alive is important and difficult as we move into a transparent global society where anyone can comment on every aspect of ones way of life.
This photo essay taken in Acapulco depicts a bull fight.
I was aware of the fact that there was going to be blood and a dead bull at the end. I did not know that the bull enters the arena already injured and bleeding. The image of man against beast was diluted when it becomes evident that “El Matador” is not in the arena by himself. He has help from others as can be seen in these photos.
