The Dorze are one of the tribes in the Guge Mountains, belonging to the huge group of tribes in Southern Ethiopia, the so-called “Museum of tribes/man”. They´re living just like their ancestors did. They sleep in woven bamboo-huts, planting Enset, the false bananas. Enset is used for making bread and it´s leaves for thatching roofs. The local artisans spin and weave the cotton to create colorful fabrics you can see all over Ethiopia. They also make beautiful pottery. The Dorze are Christians belonging to the Ethiopian-orthodox church.
