These images are from the Havana chapter in an ongoing book project ‘Cuba – A shout from history’recording moments in the lives of Cubans as this unique caribbean island goes through yet another significant period of economic and political change.
As US imposed embargoes are lifted and Cuba becomes more accessible to corporations and tourism the social spectrum in Cuba will change immeasurably. Who benefits from this change and what affect this has on services and infrastructure remains to be seen.
This project’s mandate is to record for history brief moments in this rapidly changing scenario.
