The project, still in progress, is intended as a journey within the city of Rome.
A story that starts from investigating one of the most intimate and private sides of the foreign communities in the city. The religion.
The communities in Rome are dozens, mostly, with few exceptions, poorly integrated.
In the images three communities are represented, Eritrean Coptic Orthodox, the Cape Verdeans and the Peruvians both Christians Catholics, resumed during religious services and processions.
Religion acts as a catalyst and adhesive for different communities, strengthening ties and sense of belonging. To the observer it is a journey of gestures, smells, sounds, words, in a state of total estrangement over the flow of life in the city.
