23 refugees seeking asylum in Belgium stopped eating on the 14th of January 2012. They found shelter in the VUB. Free University of Belgium. Strong North-African men who didn’t eat for more than 3 months. I portrayed them during the process. One of them stitched his mouth and another one did a suicide attempt.

21 refugees without papers stopped their hunger-strike after 103 days. One Moroccan refugee Bouachib Lasri attempted a suicide from the first floor. He refuses to stop the strike. His co-hunger-strikers stopped his attempt.
