Metamorphosis,  is a project about my daughter Maria, but also about the eternal story of the change, of a child becoming an adult, a caterpillar going through the pupa stage and becoming finally a butterfly.

 

“Why was I abandoned by my biological mother?"

 

When Maria grew up and became an adolescent our relationship ran through some very difficult periods linked to Maria’s personal story and origins. “Why was I abandoned by my biological mother?”.

 

 

 

 

Life moves on, Maria got out of this dark period, the question still remains without any answer, but Maria is today (16), not any more in the pupa stage, she became a splendid butterfly.

It was very important for me to take these pictures and to work on this small but very intimate project, it helped  me to reflect on the relationship with my daughter, to get a healthy distance during difficult periods and not being overwhelmed by emotions.

 

 

Metamorphosis is a general investigation on the phenomenon of change and transformation. Nothing stays like it is …
