Finally, anyone in the workforce, who is not highly computer literate, or unable to adapt to the high tech world we live in, is at an extreme disadvantage. Many older people will just give up and go down the income ladder and have to get by with a very low paying job or government assistance.

Working hard and being loyal to a company, then tossed on the rubbish heap, because of technology, will continue to be the norm. Factor in globalization, outsourcing, and even professionals will feel the pain of becoming obsolete. In the coming years, the United States Federal Government is already stretched because of an aging population that will need to go on Medicare and Social Security. The recent great recession, has already pushed many Americans to the brink.  For older workers who cannot learn new skills, the explosion of technology, especially artificial intelligence, will be the final nail in the coffin.
